Can’t sleep! 🤦‍♀️

I can’t seem to go to sleep, so I’m going to blog. 😊🤷‍♀️ It’s currently 1:10am here in the basketball loving state of Indiana! I am sitting on my sofa, currently thinking about a little bit of everything. My life is pretty boring honestly. I’ll try to come up with some fun facts about myself, and my family… I have 14 aunts and uncles. My dad is the baby of 15 kids. *I know right?! Wicked!* 🤣 My dad is a twin, and he had twins! (Me, and Shawn) It’s pretty rare to hear, but it does happen lol I mean obviously! 🤣🤦‍♀️ I have quite a few health issues. My med count is 17 a day. My dad and his twin John are the youngest out of all 15 of my Grandparents children at 48. They just turned 48 on Aug 30th. My dad is in pretty bad health. He is in renal failure, which means, his kidneys are “dead.” He is on kidney dialysis, and it is the only thing keeping him alive right now. On top of that, he has congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension. He is on 24/7 oxygen. He is still active when he can. He’ll go everywhere like shopping with us, but we have to give him breaks, or take his wheelchair. 🥺 I only have one kidney. I found that out at 21, when I was at the hospital for headaches I think. That nurse practitioner came in and said “Everything came back looking good! Your kidney is doing great!” I was shook! 😳😳 Like what the fuck this bitch just say?! I spoke up and said “Ain’t you supposed to have two?!” She’s like “Yes, but you only have the left kidney.” I had to pause for a min, try to get myself calmed down from anxiety. I says “Girl, you telling me… I only have one kidney?” She said “Yes, that’s what I’m telling you.” Out of reaction, I immediately said “Well, you gonna tell me where the other one went?” She started laughing a little, but she didn’t know I was dead serious! I was born with BOTH of my kidneys. The scary part, is how the hell does your kidney just fall off?!!! It’s beyond me. Anyways, so I have one kidney. I had some labs done on me about 3 months ago, and the pee sample came back with protein in my urine. That is one of the first signs of kidney disease, so I’m asking my doctor questions, like what does that mean? What are you gonna do to help? About a couple months before the labs, I was dealing with UTI’s a lot, so she thought that would be the reason there’s protein in my urine. I’m going to test again in about a week, so let’s hope now. I have anxiety, depression, bipolar one, manic disorder, agoraphobia, high cholesterol, and last but certainly not least epilepsy. It’s a struggle sometimes, but I’m making my way! Gods got me! 🙏 That’s gonna be all for tonight y’all! Come back tomorrow! Sweet dreams my loves! 💕
